How did you meet – where did your love story begin?
My husband and I often discuss how we actually found each other. It was the Facebook era, back in 2012 – poking, adding mutual friends – and somehow, we ended up as friends. We went on one date, but then didn’t see each other again for the next five years. I started high school, Marek started university, and our paths diverged.
At the turn of 2018/2019, I was on a study trip in Vietnam when I suddenly found myself back on Marek’s radar. We started messaging, calling (despite the seven-hour time difference), and he basically waited for me to return from Vietnam.
In January 2019, we officially started dating. The first year of our relationship was long-distance, as Marek was working in Copenhagen while I was finishing my bachelor's degree.
The following year, we moved to Liberec together. Then came COVID, the economic crisis, and a lot of uncertainty about what to do next. Another job offer from Copenhagen came along, so we packed our bags and set off together.
This May marks four years in Copenhagen, where our daughter was also born. Marek proposed in Copenhagen as well, and our wedding took place a year later, in 2024, in the Krušné Mountains at Sawmill Stará Pila.
The wedding was absolutely amazing – the best party of our lives. We are incredibly grateful for our family and friends, and we were lucky to celebrate our big day with all the people we love.
Why did you choose wedding rings from Mialis?
We chose our rings from Mialis because we couldn’t find anything similar elsewhere that truly caught our eye. We also loved the engraving option, which we took advantage of – our wedding date is engraved on our rings.
Which wedding rings did you choose from us? How do you like wearing them?
We went with the LALI set. My husband and I both wanted simple, narrow bands, but the women’s ring has a beautiful tapered detail that complements my engagement ring perfectly. They’re incredibly comfortable to wear, and we’re absolutely thrilled with them.
